The challenge
A businessman died leaving apartments in Cairo, a flat in London and accounts in both countries. Egyptian and English rules gave different answers about who inherited what.
Eleven heirs lived in four countries, and two of them had already instructed lawyers.
Our approach
We mapped every asset to the law that governs it, then put one clear proposal in front of the family.
01
Map the estate
We listed each asset, the law that applies to it and the steps needed to transfer it, in English and Arabic.
02
Explain the options
Each heir received the same written summary of what they would inherit under each route, and what a court case would cost.
03
Agree and implement
The family signed a division agreement and we completed the transfers in Cairo and London.
Divided by agreement, without a day in court.
